The Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a new executive director, according to a Facebook post from the organization last Thursday.
Jennifer Fair Margraf had been serving as executive director since April 2022 when she took over for Shaun Hayes, who resigned to become the executive director at the Paint Creek Center for the Arts in Rochester.
Important Announcement from our Board of Directors:
The chamber board of directors released a statement, saying, “The board is currently in the process of forming a search committee to find a professional executive director that can provide the chamber a strong focus on member value and lead us long into the future.”
The statement went on to say that interested parties can contact Jennifer Barrett, chamber president, at jmbarrett@comerica.com.
“We are looking for a dynamic individual who can lead us through a strategic planning process, grow our membership, and expand the events and programs that provide value to our members,” continued the statement. “The board of directors wishes to maintain a focus on our members and serving those members and we thought it was best to move in a new direction.”
Assistant Executive Director Kendal Petzold is currently running the daily operations of the chamber and can be reached at kendal@clarkston.org or 248-625-8055.
“The chamber board and staff are excited for our future, and we look forward to engaging with you, our members, as we go through a strategic planning process in the future with our new leader,” concluded the statement.
Facebook comments have Petzold the favorite to succeed Margraf.
