Collegiate achievements

Ferris State University officials have announced that 1,614 students received Academic Honors for the semester that ended in August 2021 at FSU and Kendall College of Art and Design.
To be eligible for Academic Honors, the minimum requirements for full-time students each term are a 3.5 GPA and completion of 12 Ferris credit hours or more of graded course work at the 100 level or higher. The minimum requirements for part-time students each term are a 3.5 GPA with completion of at least 12 accumulated Ferris credit hours of graded course work at the 100 level or higher.
Richard Nicosia, Sarah Rooks, Dillon Green, Caryn Cooley, Nathan Ladd, and Deana Hunter, all of Clarkston, and Larry Hojna and Andrew Sorter, both of Davisburg, were awarded Academic Honors and were on the Dean’s List.
In addition, Rooks (Criminal Justice, Magna Cum Laude) and Green (Engineering Technology and Energy Management, Magna Cum Laude) graduated with their Bachelor of Science degrees in August.

Derek Caraway, of Clarkston, made the Dean’s List for the summer term at the University of Maryland Global Campus, located in Adelphi, Md.
To be eligible for the honor, a student must have completed at least six credits during the term, earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
