On Dec. 12 at 8:42 p.m., deputies were on patrol in the area of Dixie Highway near White Lake Road and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for not having current insurance.
The female driver, a 36-year-old Clarkston resident, also did not have a valid driver’s license.
In addition, she had a strong odor of intoxicants emanating from her person, had slurred speech, and admitted to having consumed alcohol.
She was eventually arrested for the suspicion of OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) and/or OUID (Operating Under the Influence of Drugs).
Her vehicle was towed, and she was transported to the Oakland County Jail where she was lodged.
