Rounding out the top four scores for the Mountaineers were freshman Will Pennanen with a 42, sophomore Antonio Zaldumbide with 44, and freshman Parker Stalcup with 45.
The Mountaineers are looking forward to this season.
“This year’s team has the depth needed to compete every time we play a match,” said Ann Serra-Lowney, co-head coach. “We have put together a very competitive schedule that will prepare us for this year’s state tournament. Last season Remy had to compete at the state finals as an individual and our goal during the off season was to make sure the team joined him this year.”
The Mountaineers opened the week against Austin Catholic on Monday and Brother Rice on Tuesday.
They compete in their first tournament, the Sentech Services Tournament, on Monday, April 11, at Forest Lake Country Club.
