The Oxford Athletic Boosters is looking for fundraising ideas as the new athletic year edges closer.
Over the last five years, the group has established several programs to extend their help to Wildcat athletes.
They started the Bud Rowley Scholarship two years ago and have given select athletes $500 each to put towards their college education.
Boosters took over funding for the Senior Athletic Ceremony and started an athletic awards ceremony for middle schoolers.
Additionally, they assisted the bowling and swim teams for their first inaugural season and funded the development of boys lacrosse and boys swim.
The Boosters have donated a grand total of $2,000 to each individual program to help cover expenses.
‘It’s our goal to let coaches coach and boosters to be a funding tool for them,? said JR Lafnear.
