Getting into the spring swing

Wolves return from spring break this week with a schedule full of competitions.
Clarkston Girls Tennis opened the week with a home meet against Lake Orion on Tuesday.
They finished last year hitting their goal of qualifying for the state finals.
“This year I’m hoping for the same,” shared Mary Jo Colonna, head coach.
The team has ten players returning from last season which includes four seniors, four juniors and two sophomores. They have eight freshmen new to the team.
The current line up for the Singles courts are freshman Leah Geisz on Singles No. 1; freshman Charlotte Partchenko on Singles No. 2; junior Abbey Labate on Singles No. 3; and sophomore Katarina Fisher on Singles No. 4. Doubles is still being decided.
The Wolves moves up to the OAA Red Division after winning the OAA White Division the past two seasons.
They head to Ann Arbor Pioneer on Saturday. Then, head to Bloomfield Hills on Tuesday, 4 p.m. They are back home when they host Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 14.
Catch the home openers for more spring sports as track and field hosts Rochester Adams on Wednesday, 4 p.m.; girls soccer hosts Groves High School this Thursday with JV at 5:30 p.m., varsity following; JV baseball hosts Waterford Mott on Saturday, 10 a.m.; varsity softball hosts Milford on Tuesday, 4:30 p.m.; boys lacrosses hosts Oxford on Tuesday with JV at 5:30 p.m., varsity following; JV softball hosts White Lake Lakeland on Thursday, April 14, 4 p.m.; and baseball hosts Berkley on Friday, April 15, 4:30 p.m.
