Going for league title

Spikers head into this week ready to take on Rochester.
‘Rochester has only lost once in the league,? said Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach Kelly Avenall. ‘This is going to be a big match for us. It will determine if we win the league or not because I don’t think anyone else will beat Rochester.?
The girls took on Grand Blanc last week and beat them in all three sets, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.
‘They were a really strong team which will help us with competition,? said Avenall.
Jenna Coates had 28 digs. Allison Reis and Jessica Frakes had eight kills.
The girls played West Bloomfield on Tuesday in a OAA crossover match.
‘They are playing really strong volleyball right now. I look for that to be pretty competitive for us,’said Avenall.
The girls host Rochester on Thursday and celebrate their seniors in the last home match.
‘It will be a big day for us,? said Avenall.
JV begins at 5:30 p.m. and varsity follows.
