His boss is a Jewish carpenter

What began as a jewelry business of transforming horseshoe nails into hand-made, one-of-a-kind crosses has evolved into a ministry that helps those who need chores done but can’t afford them.
This past winter, Paul Kasic, of Oxford, heard about Oxford-area people who had meals delivered to them. Problem was, when the heavy snows came, their sidewalks would become impassable and they wouldn’t be able to receive their meals.
Seeing a need, Kasic acted upon it. ‘We helped them clear the sidewalks,? he said.
This act of kindness towards those who need a helping hand has developed into a ministry called J.C. (Jesus Christ) & Associates. Kasic, his 12-year-old son, Mark, and others work to help those who need yard work like snow removal, lawn mowing along with other property maintenance.
Operating since this last December, JCA has busied itself with home maintenance, painting, light bulb replacement, cleaning out garages and basements, window washing, spring cleanup, irrigations systems and vegetation trimming.
Kasic said they prefer working in the Oxford and Lake Orion areas. Currently, he’s bidding on lawn maintenance accounts for contractual work.
Proceeds would go to people who need chores done that they can’t afford.
The funds would go to the job in general along with covering the cost of materials.
‘We’re looking for businesses to sponsor us,? he added.
Currently, along with spring cleanup comes simple plumbing work along with household maintenance like painting and repairing the skirting on mobile homes damaged by the winter winds.
JCA operates on pledges and sponsorships. They neither give clients contracts to signs nor bill them for services rendered.
‘We know at the end of the day we do a job well done to the best of our abilities to the glory of Jesus Christ,? Kasic said.
