June Cousino, 77

COUSINO

June Ellen Cousino, of Clarkston, formerly of Dearborn, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2024, at the age of 77.
Born April 4, 1946 in Trenton, N.J., to Dr. Gerald and Estelle Adamian.
Childhood sweetheart and wife of Bernie for 55 years, mother of Wendy (Todd) Hartley and Monique (Joe) Robbins, grandma “Nana June” of Colyn Robbins, sister of John (Kim) Adamian and Joan Adamian, and aunt of Johnny Adamian.
Preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard (late Audrey) Adamian.
June loved to drive Bernie around their golf course when he would practice his golf rounds. June enjoyed telling him how to play golf. The fact is… she was right. Sometimes after he teed off, he would be ready to replace his driver in his golf bag, June was nowhere to be found. He would find her driving the cart down the fairway and looking at the condos for landscape ideas.
June loved decorating their homes. Her favorite joy without any hesitation was going for truck rides with Bernie and looking at models. When June played her piano, Bernie stopped what he was doing and listened to this concert pianist play his favorite pieces, like the movie theme from “Dances with Wolves,” and the music from “Somewhere in Time” filmed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. They would spend a weekend at the Grand from time to time.
June loved going out to dinner. It did not matter if it was high-end or the local cafe, she loved her time together with her husband. June loved their children very much and was always concerned that they would be okay. She was very proud of their achievements. Sid and Sami, “our pooches,” were a great joy to June. She really loved them and they loved her.
June’s family is grateful that they had June as long as they did. She touched the heart and soul of many people, and Bernie feels totally blessed that he was one of them.
