Letter to the Editor: A ‘yes’ for Brown

Dear Editor,

After being your township supervisor for the past nine years, I had the pleasure and unique opportunity to work with and really get to know all four of the current candidates for Independence Township supervisor.
But with nine years of experience, I also have a firsthand understanding of the many skill sets required to manage this great community of ours.
Now don’t get me wrong, all four candidates are nice guys, but in my humble opinion, only one candidate is the best qualified for the job … and that is Paul Brown.
Paul worked tirelessly by my side for over seven years as the township treasurer and two more as a trustee and has my full trust and support.
Paul is also a CPA providing him the tools and forensic experience to oversee the $30,000,000 in taxes and user fees collected each year to ensure your money is spent wisely.
Two reasons for writing this letter so early:
1 – With only Republican candidates, the election for the supervisor’s position will be decided in the August 2 primary, and …
2 – Because I worked my butt off for the residents of this great community for over nine years, I would like to ensure Independence Township continues to be the “gold standard” in Oakland County.
Being risk adverse, especially when it comes to your tax dollars, I recommend you go with the sure thing and vote for Paul Brown for supervisor.
Why? Because it’s your money.
