Letter to the Editor: Brown is the choice

After my wife, Paul Brown is my best friend, but that isn’t why I’m voting for him for township supervisor on August 2.
The reason is simple: he is the most qualified.
I’ve known Paul since high school, and I also know that when he wants to do something, he puts 110 percent effort into doing it right. And so far, he has had a positive impact in every endeavor he has pursued.
From making the basketball team one year after playing trombone in the pep band at those very games to having a successful tenure as treasurer for this township, Paul has used his smarts, his positive attitude, and his relentless quest for the truth to solve problems.
You see, Paul is the ultimate optimist. I’ve never seen him in a bad mood in the 42 years that I’ve known him. He is witty, friendly, a keen problem solver, and most importantly, grounded!
He is home grown, raised by a single parent mom right here in Clarkston. He has felt poverty, and has known the fruits of his labor. He can personally relate to every citizen in Clarkston, and he does it with a smile.
Most importantly, Paul is the most qualified to run a $30 million company called Independence Township. He has run big companies, and, his finger is squarely on the pulse of the township’s finances. And in these times, we need his expertise.
Paul Brown is my choice for Independence Township supervisor. He checks every box, least of which is he is my best friend.
