Letter to the Editor: Heartfelt thanks

I feel that the freedom to vote is one of our most important rights.
As a city clerk, Election Day is wonderful, hectic, and rewarding. And now with my first election in the books, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all my hard-working, dedicated election workers that made it all happen: Evelyn Bihl, Cara Catallo and Toni Smith.
Thank you!
You followed very specific and detailed procedures to set up the equipment. You warmly welcomed voters and served them for 13 straight hours. Then you followed your procedures again, packed it all up, and saw each other off after a long and tiring day.
With you so thoroughly and diligently performing your duties, you made the election process run so smoothly and as near to perfect as possible.
And lastly, I also want to give a huge shout-out to everyone at Union Joints, LLC, for donating and delivering an amazing breakfast and lunch for the whole election crew!
Thank you!
Your kindness and awesome food kept smiles on our faces and our bodies nourished.
Sincerely,
Karen DeLorge, City Clerk
City of the Village of Clarkston
