As we close our 75th anniversary year of the Clarkston Farm and Garden Club, we thank you for the support the community has given us through the years.
Because of your generosity in buying wreaths, roping and grave blankets and attending our Garden Walk in July – 500 of you – we are able to give back by planting and maintaining 27 urns on Main Street and six gardens at the library.
But please note: the lion’s share of the dollars earned goes to support youth education through college scholarship and through a grant to attend outdoor classes at Clarkston Family Farm. A total of 3,000 students attended last year.
We also give mini-grants to Clarkston Community Schools teachers for environmental projects with their students.
We are truly blessed with so many capable members.
And we always have room for more should a person wish to join us.
