Local law enforcers say…

In Sept. 2003 law makers in the state of Michigan lowered the legal drinking limit from .10 to .08.
To enforce the lowered limit, patrol units are increased on the highways during the holiday season.
In Groveland Twp., the State Police Post Commander, Lieutenant Douglas Lubahn says safety is a priority through the holiday season and the State Police have assigned extra patrols on the roads.
Lieutenant Lubahn wishes the community a safe holiday season and asks that party goers to be smart.
‘If hosting a party, be smart and provide a sober driver or have guests spend the night,? said Lubahn.
‘Don’t drink and get behind the wheel’getting arrested for drinking and driving is a sure fire way to ruin the holidays.?
