Mixed results in back-to-back games

The Clarkston Varsity Hockey team added one win to their record and two losses in their games last week.
The Wolves won their game against Livonia Churchill at Eddie Edgar Ice Arena on Friday, 7-4.
The Wolves took control of the game in the first period with four goals and kept their opponents to one.
They scored two goals in the second period and closed the game with one more goal in the final period.
Mathew Phaneuf led the team with four goals and two assists.
Devon Collis had one goal and two assists and Owen Croston had one goal and one assist. Gino Giannini had one goal
Ryan Galligan and Mathew Smith each had two assists. Tyler Pauly, Blake Bottril, Joe Reiss each had one assist.
Goalie Hunter Smith made 16 saves in the net. The Wolves lost their game against White Lake Lakeland on Saturday, 7-4.
Croston scored two goals during the night. Phaneuf had one goal and two assists. Collis had one goal and one assist and Galligan had one assist. Hunter Smith had 15 saves during the night.
Clarkston opened the week with a 5-4 loss to Rochester United, March 4. Galligan and Giannini both had one goal and one assist, Tate Phares and Phaneuf each scored one goal.
Bottril had two assists. Reiss, Bredan Fredrick, Mathew Smith and Sabre Kolebar each had one assist.
Hunter Smith had 18 saves in the net.
The Wolves (3-7-1) head into their last week of the regular season. They play M1 United on Thursday at Detroit Skating Club, 7:45 p.m.; Utica Eisenhower on Friday at Suburban Ice Macomb, 8:15 p.m.; and Lake Orion on Saturday at Detroit Skating Club, 5:45 p.m.
