GROSSE POINTE WOODS — Clarkston Everest Collegiate Varsity Football team were victorious over Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett last Friday, 31-29.
Junior Kevin Cronin sealed the win for the Mountaineers with 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Everest (3-2, 2-0 Catholic League Intersectional 2) plays their homecoming game against Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School this Friday, 7 p.m.
Everest Collegiate Boys Varsity Soccer defeated Cardinal Mooney, 2-1, last Thursday. They opened last week with a 2-2 tie with Bishop Foley, Sept. 19.

Everest Collegiate Varsity Volleyball defeated Academy of the Sacred Heart last Thursday, 3-0, 25-8, 25-11, 25-15.
They also defeated Frankel Jewish Academy on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 3-0, 25-11, 25-5, 25-16. The Mountaineers (13-2-1, 6-0 Catholic High School League) opened this week against Cardinal Mooney. They play Austin on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Everest Collegiate Girls Cross Country finished in fifth place the first CHSL Intersectional Jamboree with 114 points, Sept. 12. The top five runners were: senior Eve Herrgott in tenth place in the time of 23:35.6; junior Maria Saad, 25th, 25:50.3; junior Natalie Cross, 30th, 27.23.4; seniors Kathleen Thibodeau, 31st, 27:34.1; and senior Erin Carr, 34th, 27:43.3.
Ann Arbor Greenhills finished in first place with 23 points; Shrine, second, 62; Bishop Foley, third, 73; Allen Park Cabrini, fourth, 89; Academy of the Sacred Heart, sixth, 159; and Austin Catholic, seventh, 206.
