CLARKSTON — To coincide with the launch of the city’s new website, which is currently under development, a freshened version of the city’s long-standing oak tree logo was approved unanimously by the Clarkston City Council at the Jan. 8 regular meeting.
Clarkston City Manager Jonathan Smith said the old logos are approximately 10 years old and poor, low-resolution images.
Mayor Pro Tem Laura Rodgers said that when she was having a banner made for the recent Clarkston Christmas Market, the old logo was too small to enlarge to put on the banner.
The final version of the logo was released last week.
Local graphic artist Jennifer Herrmann prepared multiple alternatives for council to consider, at a cost of $100 that the city has already paid to Herrmann.
