Brandon Twp.-Brandon Fire Department responded to a manufactured home fire at Sashabaw Meadows community on Dec. 31, 2003.
According to David Borst, Brandon Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief a neighbor reported flames from the home at 8:56 p.m. and firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:04 p.m. The fire was under control at 9:17 p.m.
After the fire was contained, two firefighters entered the structure, where no one was home at the time. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire officials suspect electrical. No injuries were reported. Although the damage was contained to a bedroom, due to smoke and fumes the home was a total loss.
