Clarkston City Manager Jonathan Smith reported last week that the final cost of grinding down and full repaving of Depot Road in October came in well under the approved budget.
The final invoice amount of $99,607 was over $23,000 under the not-to-exceed budget of $122,765.
“Our thanks to the Road Commission of Oakland County for allowing the city to partner with them on this project,” said Smith. “As reported previously, the restriping (retaping) of the two Depot Road crosswalks must, unfortunately, wait until spring due to the wintry weather that set in shortly after the paving completion.”
