APPROVED Consent Agenda as Presented
1. Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Minutes of April 18, 2023
2. May 2, 2023 Check Run ($868,783.73) and Ratify the April 14, 2023 / April 28, 2023 Payroll ($312,231.93 / $309,369.34)
3. Approve Automated Payment Policy (ACH)
The following motions were made and passed:
APPROVED: Second Reading and Adoption of the Downtown Development Authority Development Plan and Tax Increment Financing Plan by Ordinance
APPROVED: Variance requests received from Waterford Hills Road Racing, Inc. 2023 for a Historical Vintage Automobile Race for the weekend of July 21, 22 and 23, 2023 pursuant to the Charter Township Code of Ordinances; Chapter 6; Amusements and Entertainments; Article II. – Speed Exhibitions
APPROVED: Bid for Bay Court Park Asphalt Paving – Entrance Drive, Parking Lot & Trail Project from Eastern Asphalt of Flint, Michigan, for $167,867.00 and a contingency of $16,787.00 in an amount not to exceed $184,654.00 and approve the Re-Appropriation of the remaining $10,346 to be used for the Clintonwood Park Bottleneck Paving Project
APPROVE: Bid for the Bay Court Park Playground Renovation Project from Penchura of Brighton, Michigan, for $720,000.00 and a contingency of $31,503.44 for total project amount not to exceed $794,566.44, also to include an additional $25,000 for the entrance sign as presented and approve 2023 Budget Amendment #20 including the additional $25,000 as presented
APPROVE: Quote from Italia Construction of Washington Twp, Michigan for professional construction services associated with the Andersonville Rd Safety Path Project in an amount of $123,544.00 plus 10% for related engineering and contingency expenses for a not to exceed amount of $136,000.00 and accept the quote from Nowak & Fraus of Pontiac, Michigan for construction administrative services in an amount not to exceed $14,720.00 and approve 2023 Budget Amendment #19 as presented
APPROVE: Cost Participation Agreement between the Road Commission for Oakland County and the Charter Township of Independence for the paving of Waldon Road from Clintonville Road to Baldwin Road for a total cost of $426,955, budgeting $72,000 of tri-party funds for the next three consecutive years (2024/2025/2026) and approve 2023 Budget Amendment #18 as presented
APPROVE: Second overage payment of Preliminary Engineering costs for the Waldon Road paving project shown on invoice #103203 dated April 26, 2023, in the amount of $50,256.85
