  1. Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Minutes of October 24, 2023 and Special Meeting Minutes of October 24, 2023
  2. October 31, 2023 Check Run Including ACH ($1,143,787.09) Ratify the October 13, 2023 Payroll ($340,526.22) and October 27, 2023 Payroll ($315,750.70)
  3. Interlocal Agreement between Oakland County and Independence Township for the Purposes of I.T. Services
  4. Election Inspector Wage Adjustment and Associated Miscellaneous Costs
  5. License Agreement Between Oakland County and Independence Township for Use of the Brady Lodge at Bay Court Park as an Early Voting Site

The following motions were made and passed:

APPROVE: Bid Proposal for Government Relations and Lobbying Services with Midwest Strategy Group entering into a 1-year contract in the amount of $48,000.00 or $4,000.00 per month starting January 1, 2024 subject to contract legal review

APPROVE: Out of State Travel for Laura Haynes, PIO to attend the Government Social Media Conference held in Palm Springs, CA from April 15-18th, 2024

APPOINT: Kevin Rosneck to the Residential Open Space Advisory Committee with term ending December 31st, 2023

APPOINT: William Scarborough to the Residential Open Space Advisory Committee with term ending December 31st, 2023

ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-020 to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Local Fiscal Recovery Fund Distribution Interlocal Agreement Between Oakland County and Charter Township of Independence and Authorize the Public Works Director to sign amendment No. 1 as presented

APPROVE: Bid Proposal received from Superior Excavating of Auburn Hills, MI for Professional Services associated with DWSRF Project #7696-01 as outlined in the Agreement in the Amount of $3,349,027.50 plus an Additional Contingency Amount (6%) of $201,000.00 for a total of $3,550,027.50 and Direct the Supervisor to sign the Notice of Award and Contract as the Authorized Representative of the Township
