Richard A. Lindner, of Waterford, formerly of Clarkston and Cedarburg, Wis., passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 98.
He was born on September 8, 1924 to Alfred and Alice Lindner.
Preceded in death by his wife Jeanette.
Father of Pat (Gerry) Romano and Pamela Jay, “papa” grandpa of Eric (Laura) Jay, Natalie (John) Andrews, and Michelle (Matt) Rockwood, great-grandpa of Johnny Andrews, Ben Rockwood, Tommy Rockwood, Elliott Jay, and Reid Jay, and brother of Ruth Ketcham.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in London, England. He retired as a teacher from Cedarburg (Wis.) schools. He enjoyed camping, coin collecting, target shooting, and collecting tropical fish. He was a talented woodworker and gardener.
Memorial service is Wednesday, March 15 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at Canterbury-on-the-Lake, Waterford. Private inurnment at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
