Spikers showed off their skills at the West Bloomfield Invitational on Saturday.
They remained undefeated against five teams until they headed off against Notre Dame Prep.
They lost both sets 25-21.
‘It was one of the best starts we have had,? said Coach Kelly Avenall.
Senior Jenna Coates had 69 digs and five aces for the day.
‘Jenna was playing top of her game,? Avenall added.
Juniors Allison Reis had 40 kills and Junior Alexis Egler had 29 kills and 51 assists.
The girls play at the Livonia Ladywood Quad on Friday.
‘I don’t know who the competition is, but Livonia Ladywood has a strong program so we expect a good competition,? said Avenall.
The team participates in the Oxford Quad next Tuesday, where they also expect to see good competition from North Branch and Flushing.
The quad at Livonia Ladywood begins at 10 a.m. The school is located at 14680 Newburgh Rd., Livonia.
The Oxford Quad is at 5 p.m. at Oxford High School, 745 N. Oxford.
