Wolves, Dragons to take field for cure

Crosstown rivals Clarkston and Lake Orion will battle this week on the gridiron while also raising money at the 11th Annual Football for a Cure, Friday.
The Clarkston Varsity Football team goes into the game looking to protect their turf and also for a win after a 28-27 loss to Rochester Adams last Friday.
Freshman Ethan Clark grabbed the lead for the Wolves in the first quarter on a 6-yard touchdown run. A PAT put the score at 7-0. The Wolves closed the first half with a 10-0 lead after junior Stephen Rusnak scored a field goal during the second quarter.
He scored on another field goal after halftime, widening the Wolves lead.
The Highlanders scored twice to gain a 1-point lead to close the third quarter.
Both teams used the final quarter to drive the ball and score. The Wolves scored twice with a 41-yard and 42-yard touchdown runs by Clark as well as a 2-point conversion.
Adams struck back scoring twice as well and putting 14 points on the board to win by 1-point.
Sophomore Mike DePillo went 11-for-21 in passing for 83 yards with one interception.
Leading receiver was junior Justin Buchmann catching seven passes for 39 yards. Clark was the leading rusher with 193 yards on 28 carries with three touchdowns and a 2-point conversion.
Rusnak two field goals, one for 25 yard and another for 27 yards.
Senior Dylan Erskine led defense with six tackles, four assists and one interception. Junior Ayden Brooks four tackles, one tackle for a 2-yard loss. Freshman Cole Dellinger had two tackles, two tackles for a total of five yards loss and a one blocked pass. Junior Rocco Spindler had three tackles, one tackle for a 2-yard loss.
The Wolves (3-4, 3-2 OAA Red) hosts Lake Orion (6-1, 4-1) this Friday. Kick off is at 7 p.m.
