Clarkston City Council accepted the resignation of Council member Eric Haven, Monday night.
Haven resigned his seat, which included the position of mayor pro tem, in order to run for mayor, he said.
He was also the council representative on the Planning Commission. The council voted unanimously to appoint Council member Susan Wylie the new mayor pro tem, as well as planning commission representative. Haven will continue to serve on the planning commission as a resident.
