Political signs

Clarkston’s sign ordinance allows political signs starting Friday, Sept. 7, 60 days before the November election.
Political signs in the city are limited to 16 square feet, cannot exceed 10 feet in height, and cannot be placed on city property or city easements. They must be removed by Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Interesting since the city’s sign ordinance does not meet constitutional requirements of being content neutral as determined by the United States Supreme Court in the case of Reed v. Town of Gilbert.
