Food packaging

The new Clarkston Kiwanis Club and Kids Coalition Against Hunger are hosting a Food Packaging event on Saturday, July 8, in the Bartsch Room at the Senior Center in Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road.
Set up will be from 7:30-9 a.m., and packaging will be from 9-11 a.m.

Honors for volunteers

Twelve community members were honored for their volunteer work in Clarkston Community Schools with Outstanding Service Awards.
Andersonville Elementary honored Brandy Hamilton; Bailey Lake honored Dena Pflieger; Clarkston Elementary honored Mike Daly; Independence honored Tena Richie; North Sashabaw honored Kristina Gerhardt; both Chris and Amy Horvath were honored by Pine Knob Elementary; and Springfield Plains honored Cynthia Facciolla.
Sashabaw Middle School honored Jessica Jankowiak; the junior high honored both Stacey Tolmie and Dena McMurray; and Clarkston High School honored Amy Metz.
