Clarkston Board of Education approved $990,575.86 in purchases at its Aug. 28 meeting, its first of the new school year.
Purchases include computer network switches at Clarkston High School for $47,861.98; reading and literacy assessments for $51,173.13; 29 new workstation computers for the Career-Technical Education program at the junior high, $32,451; two air-conditioning compressors at Clarkston High School, $33,049; and furniture for five pilot classrooms at Clarkston Junior High for a combined price of $110,617.17.
The board is also seeking bids for a district wide replacement of video surveillance systems and structured cabling at a combined cost of $715,423.58.
