The Oakland Technical Center Education Association has given six graduating Oakland Schools Technical Campus seniors a total of $3,000 in scholarship money ($500 each). One of the 2020 recipients is Clarkston High School’s Danielle Little, who is specializing in culinary arts and hospitality.
Due to the coronavirus, this year’s Fourth of July parade – a long-standing tradition and perennial favorite in Clarkston – has been canceled. “I’m already looking forward to next year’s parade, one of the best in the state,” said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
The May 26 city council meeting included a public hearing and presentation on the proposed 2020-21 city budget, which will return to the council on June 22 for final approval.
