TREBILCOCK

Catherine “Kay” Ann Trebilcock, of Midland, passed away April 3, 2023 at the age of 77.
She was born August 2, 1945.
Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend was promoted into glory with her family by her side at her home. We rejoice as Kay is now dementia free!
Loving wife to her husband of nearly 57 years, Reverend Douglas Trebilcock. Beloved mother of Michael (Heidi Lang) and Brian (Liz Gavin), cherished “Grandma T” to Grant, Kasey, Megan, Anna, Ellie, Joshua, Maddie, Taylor, and Christopher, sister-in-law to Bill (Joan) and Bob (Suanne) Trebilcock, cousin to Mary McLaren, who was more like a sister. All will miss her tremendously.
Kay was born in Owosso to Reverend Ira and Alice Bush. She was older sister to David, all of whom predeceased her. She grew up in the Upper Peninsula, attended Northern Michigan University, and worked several years as a licensed practical nurse in Marinette, Wis., Evanston, Ill., and Howell. Her true affinity was for children, and she worked 27 years as an educational assistant for St. Clair and Clarkston schools.
In addition, she served alongside Doug in their Methodist churches in Glenview, Ill., Howell, Rochester, Bloomfield Hills, St. Clair, Clarkston, and Midland. Kay had a love for children and music, both of which were tapped into during her service to the various churches over Doug’s 40-year ministry. She was active in the choir, bell choir, and Sunday School classroom.
Doug and Kay spent summers in Bay View for 40 years where they enjoyed the worship, music, and educational programs. They especially enjoyed hosting family and friends and always the grandchildren. She loved her boys, and she loved all the little children.
Memorial service and visitation will be held at Midland United Church of Christ on Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m. The family will begin receiving visitors at 10 a.m at the church, 4100 Chestnut Hill Dr, Midland. The family is thankful for Jennifer Laskowski, her care companion, MyMichigan Hospice, and all our family and friends who have walked this journey with us.
Kay is finally home.
