The American Legion honored all veterans with medals and salutes, including U.S. Army vet Michael Cascone. Michael left his medal with his son, the late PFC Christopher Cascone, who served in the U.S. Army as a medic and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery.

A patriotic crowd filled Lakeview Cemetery under blue skies to honor and remember those who fell fighting for freedom during the American Legion Post 63’s Memorial Day Service.
The legion led a parade from Depot Park to the cemetery for the service, which included speeches by Clarkston Mayor Steve Percival and Clarkston Junior High School students.
