Letter to the Editor: Garden Walk thanks

The Clarkston Garden Club thanks all the community that came out to view the beautiful gardens during the Clarkston Garden Walk.
The Garden Club is so thankful to the great gardeners, Rob and Michelle Bennett, Laura Diver, Tom and Tami Lowrie, Mike and Monica McGraw, John and Paula Orminski, and Roger and Beth Riegel for opening their gardens in 2022 for visitors to view.
This is the 15th year of the Clarkston Garden Walk, and we are delighted that so many gardeners have opened their gardens for neighbors, friends and the residents to views over the years.
All the funds from the Garden Walk are given back to the community to maintain the gardens at the Clarkston Independence District Library, to plant, maintain and water the downtown planters, to enhance the Clarkston Family Farm for the young people of our area, to provide senior scholarships for students that live in the Clarkston Schools attendance area no matter what school they attend, and to provide assemblies for students, and provide mini grants for teachers.
The Clarkston Garden Club has been active in the community for 74 years and welcomes members of the community to join the club, both male and female.
Come and help us beautify Clarkston and Independence Township.
