Dear Editor,

I am urging all voters to be careful how they vote in the August 2 election.
Jose Aliaga has worked tirelessly on the board for 10 years.
He is open and honest. He cares about the future of Independence Township. Jose will stick to the master plan. Let’s leave some open spaces in our bedroom community. After all, isn’t that the reason that we live in Independence?
Jose has the integrity we need to preserve our rural areas and our historical places. He has the education experience and knowledge needed to accomplish this.
Things will no longer be streamlined, amended, or rezoned behind closed doors. Or without any input from the community.
Let’s put the control back in the people’s hands!
