I’ve lived in Clarkston over 30 years and I love it here.
I have driven by the Independence Township Fire Station at Sashabaw and Clarkston roads a thousand times. I’ve always felt safer having them there, but luckily, I have never had to use them…until now.
Around 4 a.m. on Jan. 4, I was hit with a medical emergency. The fire truck and EMS got to my house in FOUR minutes! I felt complete confidence in the three young men who cared for me. They were respectful, professional and gentle during a very scary time. They transported me quickly and safely to the hospital, apologizing along the way when we’d hit a bump! They made my husband and friend feel assured that I was in good hands.
As I did not get the young men’s names, I want to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to them here. You guys are the BEST and just another reason why I love Clarkston.
