Letter to the Editor: Showing our gratitude to an unsung hero in local Clarkston community

Dear Editor,

Located on M-15 just north of I-75 on the west side of the highway, surrounded by woods and beautiful landscape is a professional building identified by the distinctive company logo for Verde Capital Management.
The purpose of this Letter to the Editor is not necessarily to highlight the beautiful setting of the building nor to highlight Verde Capital Management as a successful Clarkston business but instead to recognize Carl Szasz, president and chief compliance officer of Verde Capital Management as well as members of his immediate family and

his professional team for their “under the radar” contribution to our community.
Carl, a Knights of Columbus member of St. Anne’s Council #6824, provides invaluable support for many of the Knights of Columbus key fundraising programs, where funds are dedicated to benefit a multitude of programs and service organizations in our area.
One of the programs fortunate to be a beneficiary of K of C funding is Club Create Northern Oakland County. CCNOC is an affiliate of Michigan Arts Access, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides art and social classes for adults with special needs across all of Michigan.
Recently, CCNOC showed their appreciation to Carl and his team by presenting them with a custom corn hole game painted in Verde Capital Management colors to include a very detailed reproduction of the Verde Capital Management logo with custom embroidered bean bags to match.
CCNOC extends our heartfelt gratitude to Carl, his family and the Verde Capital Management team for their discreet but essential support to the K of C and to the many organizations that benefit from K of C charitable contributions.

Sincerely,
Robert White
Clarkston
