Kudos to Fire Chief Dave Piché and his staff at the Independence Fire Department!
I was visiting friends in Clarkston on Monday, Aug. 1. At 6:30 p.m., my friend and I were involved in a head-on collision on Sashabaw Road. Unit A102 with two attendants arrived at 6:41 p.m. and tended to my colleague and me and then transported me to the hospital.

These two men searched me out in the Emergency Department about 10 p.m. and came to my bedside to see how I was doing.
Now, that is class – FIRST CLASS.
