Nita Peters, of Clarkston, formerly of Flint, summered in Au Gres, passed away on January 31, 2021 at the age of 94.
Preceded in death by her husband Lester and grandson Frankie DeCarolis.
Mother of Sue (late Dave) Hora, Jan (Dan) Fife, Debbie (Stephen) Cox, Kirk (Kim) Peters and Craig (Becky) Peters, grandma of Todd (Sarah) Allen, Dugan (Katie) Fife, Jeremy (Jenny) Fife, Dane (Blair) Fife, Christina DeCarolis, Adam (Yuka) Peters, Darla Peters and Serena Peters. Also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Sister of Bob (late Joyce) Edwards , Chuck (Bonnie) Edwards, late Marguerite (late Glen) Gerwolds, late Clifford (late Joan) Edwards and the late Jim (late Lorraine) Edwards.
Nita had worked during World War II in the factory and later worked as a sales clerk at Kresge, Waterford. She enjoyed planting flowers, home decorating, traveling, playing bingo and crossword puzzles.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to PANCAN or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
