The Round Up at 5050 Dixie Highway hosts a dance party for adults with special needs on the first Tuesday of the month, 6-8:30 p.m.
This is the second month for the dance, which is run by volunteers.
“We aren’t open on Tuesdays, so I thought I would give it a try,” said owner Dewey Reese. “It’s heartwarming to see these kids here. I hope it grows, giving them a place to go that’s safe and very respectful.”
Future plans include adding karaoke. Cover charge is $2. No charge for caregivers and guardians, who are asked to stay with their attendees, 18 and older.
