Pioneer families

The Clarkston Genealogy Society will offer a workshop on Saturday, Feb. 29, from 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the Community Room at the Clarkston Independence District Library on how to fill out the certificates for Michigan Pioneer families and First Families. Pioneer Families are designated those who arrived in Michigan before January 26, 1837, and First Families are those who arrived between January 26, 1837, and December 31, 1880.
The workshop is free but a $25 application fee is due when you send in your application to the Michigan Genealogical Council for the certificate and pin. Registration is requested on the CIDL.org website.
