A. A Special Meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board was called to order at 6:00 P.M.
B. The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
C. ROLL CALL: Present: Neubeck, Loughrin, Aliaga, Brown, Nallamothu, Ritchie
Absent: None
Also Present Dan Kelly, Township Attorney
Motion to Appoint Trustee Ritchie as Acting Chair for the September 27, 2021 Special Meeting-Carried
D. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approval of Agenda as presented
E. BOARD/PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS: None
F. PUBLIC COMMENT: Pat Kittle

1. Consideration of Township Supervisor Appointment and Discussion
The Board heard public comment from: Linda Holloway; Sam Moraco; Pat Kittle
Motion to appoint Paul Brown as the Township Supervisor – Motion Failed
Motion to appoint Dale Stuart as the Township Supervisor – Motion Failed
Motion to place Consideration of Township Supervisor Appointment and Discussion on the agenda for the October 5, 2021 Regular Meeting-Carried
Motion to re-open the vacancy posting to accept applications for the Supervisor position with consideration of the additional three applications received and to include those who may apply – Motion Failed
