CALL TO ORDER: 6:00 P.M.

APPROVED: Agenda as Presented

APPROVED Consent Agenda as Amended; Remove Item J-05 “Request to Approve Traffic Control Device Contract Between RCOC and Independence Township” and Place Under K. Items Removed from the Consent Agenda

  1. Board of Trustees Regular/Closed Session Meeting Minutes of July 11, 2023
  2. July 18, 2023 Check Run Including ACH ($866,600.44) and Ratify the July 7, 2023 Payroll ($391,559.29)
  3. 2023 Budget Amendment #26: Budgeting for the Bond Prepayment and Invoicing of the City of the Village for their Portion
  4. Information Technology Oversight Committee (ITOC) Amended By-Laws
  5. Brady Lodge Rental with Alcohol: Gray – August 5, 2023

The following motions were made and passed:

ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-015 to approve the Agreement for Traffic Control Device between RCOC and the Township and authorize the Township Supervisor to execute same

ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-014 granting local approval for the Nonpublic Continuing Care Retirement Center License to Clarkston Senior Living, LLC, for the Monarch Grove Senior Living Facility located at 7373 Sashabaw Road, Independence Twp., MI 48348, and authorize the Township Clerk to execute same and return to the Michigan Liquor Commission; approval is conditioned upon the Applicant entering into an Agreement for Conditions of Local Liquor License Approval that is satisfactory to the Township and authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to execute the same

ADOPT: Bond Resolution No. 2023-012 Authorizing FY2023 Drinking Water State Revolving Capital Improvement Bonds DWSRF Project #7696-01 as presented

ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-013 for tentative award of construction contract for drinking water system improvements DWSRF Project #7696-01 in the amount of $3,349,027.50 from Superior Excavating, Inc of Auburn Hills Michigan contingent upon successful financial arrangements with the DWSRF Program as presented

APPROVED: 2023 Budget Amendment #27 as presented

BUDGET SESSION: 2024, 2025 and 2026 Budget Process
