Dear Editor,
As an independent voter, I always hope that elections are between qualified candidates. Political party affiliation is secondary.
For that reason, I am supporting Mike Bloomberg in the upcoming Michigan Presidential Primary on Tuesday, March 10.
Bloomberg is a self-made (no inherited wealth) extremely successful business owner who served three terms as the mayor of the largest city in the United States. While mayor of New York City, Bloomberg greatly improved health care and public education for residents of that city.
Since leaving office, Bloomberg has donated millions of dollars, not portraits of himself, to multiple well-regarded charities dealing with protecting the environment, enacting responsible gun regulations and several other critical issues.
In November, I want to be able to choose between viable candidates. I hope Mike Bloomberg will be one of them.
