Up north home invasion

According to published reports, a 27-year-old Clarkston man broke into a Tuscola County home in the early morning hours of Aug. 27.
The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home invasion call that morning at 2:13 a.m. on S. Cemetery Road in Kingston Township, a small town with a population less than 1,000 (as of the 2010 census) and located about 60 miles north of Clarkston.
Police say a 95-year-old female said an unknown male had broken into her home through a window. She said she did not know the suspect.
The suspect threatened and assaulted her before fleeing the home, according to police.
The suspect was later located in the woods near the home and arrested.
The resident did not seek medical treatment as a result of the incident.
Police say more information is yet to be released.
