Lucky, a dog who lives with its owners on North Holcomb Road, wandered out on to the thawing Mill pond last Friday and was scared to come back. Independence Township Fire Department engineers Todd Wieckowski (pictured) and Matt Decker helped rescue the dog, who was unharmed. Photo provided
